Jane is originally from Northern Ireland, and has been a long time resident of Charles County. Jane received her training in Physical Therapy in the United Kingdom. She began her career by working in a hospital, and then later lectured in a physical therapy program. After moving to the United States, she received her license to practice Physical Therapy in Maryland. Jane is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
In the mid-1990's she opened an office in La Plata. Following the tornado that hit La Plata in 2002, she re-located the office to the present location, which allowed her the opportunity to expand the services La Plata Physical Therapy provides.
Jane's personal goal is to offer quality care and to create an environment conducive to the comfort of the patients La Plata Physical Therapy serves. Jane also encourages continuous learning, and welcomes students to join her staff during their training.
In 2009, Jane was recognized by the Charles County Commission for Women at the 12th Annual Awards Banquet for having made major contributions or given outstanding service to benefit the health, safety or welfare of women and families in the county.
Jane has also been recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for her ongoing contribution to student education.
Cathy French, PT
Cathy graduated in 1982 from the University of Maryland with a degree in Physical Therapy.
Cathy spent many years working with the special population in the public school system. She has been on staff as part time therapist and pediatric consultant since 2008. Cathy mentors all the staff on a regular basis and reviews our pediatric case load. Our acces to her pediatric expertise and experience is something our company values greatly.
Rosa Hernandez, PT
Rosa graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical
Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico in
1982. Rosa is a long standing member of the American Physical
Therapy Association. She is certified in functional
capacity evaluation and is a student clinical instructor.
Rosa joined the staff of La Plata Physical Therapy in 2012 and
believes every person should be treated as an individual and
given the highest quality of care.
Rosa enjoys going to the beach, camping, music, reading and
spending time with family and friends.
Her areas of interest include Orthopedics and Sports Medicine,
amputee rehabilitation and musculoskeletal disorders.
Rosa is fluent in Spanish.
Youjin Lee, PT
Youjin graduated with a Bachelor of Health from Gwangju Health University, and has a Masters and Doctorate of Science from Dongshin University, South Korea. She also completed a Physical Therapy Internship at the St. Augustine University. Youjin is a member of the International Director of Korean Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Youjin joined the staff of La Plata Physical Therapy in 2013 and believes eating balanced meals while drinking lots of water and exercising promotes the good health of the human body .
Youjin enjoys supporting her children in their activities which consist of school, ice skating, violin, math club, and National Honor Society. She enjoys spending time with her Akita and Shih Tzu dogs, photography, quilting, traveling, and painting .
Her areas of interest include Differential Diagnosis, Screening, Orthopedics, and Stroke.
Ann Haynes, PTA
Ann received her B.S. degree in exercise physiology from the University of West Virginia School of Medicine in 1994. Go Mountaineers! Ann was Director of a Fitness Program in Washington D.C. prior to her enrollment in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the College of Southern Maryland. Ann graduated from the program in 2006.
Continuing education has included exercise programs for the geriatric population and treatment for sports related injuries. Ann continues to develop her manual skills and pursue certification in this area. Ann continues to be interested in her own personal fitness and that of her patients. One of Ann's goals is to complete a half marathon.
Jessica Minner, PTA
Jessica graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the College of Southern Maryland in 2006.
Since graduation, Jessica has used her knowledge and skills with all different age groups in our clinic. Jessica's patience and gentle manual skills have been escpecially good as she works with our children. Continuing education has included classes in pediatrics as well as sports related and geriatric exercise programs.
Currently, Jessica has elected to assist with the supervision of the physical therapy students who occasionally spend time in our clinic as part of their education program.
Jennifer Booth, PTA
Jen is a 2012 graduate of the CACHE PTA program through the College of Southern Maryland.
Jen is interested in working with Pediatric patients and continuing her education.
Jen enjoys outdoor activities including going to the beach,
walking on the boardwalk and being with family and friends.
Jen lives by the well known adage "treat others how you want to be treated".
